We were initially called out to investigate a small roof leak. Once the existing roof covering was opened, we discovered that approximately 15% of the timber roof deck had rotted because water had been penetrating the roof for some time. The damaged decking was removed and replaced before the roof was properly waterproofed. This project shows why even a minor leak should be addressed promptly. The visible problem may be small, but hidden water damage can quickly become extensive and significantly increase repair costs.
